By using data from my wireless telephone records, this map was constructed to illustrate calls made from Chicago back to my hometown in California. Each line illustrates the path of the call while the width of the line corresponds to the length of each call. To distinguish both locations from each other, the paths of major highways within each city are shown. Furthermore, the background of the composition features the waveform of myself saying "Hello, how are you?" and "Nice talking to you, goodbye."

This map illustrates my relationship to my friends and family at home and the advantage of being able to communicate with them easily over such a long distance.
